2017 Epic Camp

Every year Preston and his dad go to camp together. The first two years, they went to mini camp and the last two years they have gone to Epic Camp.

Epic is a camp through our church. They go for 5 days and 4 nights. Every year they have a blast and can’t wait for next years camp. Next year though will be Preston’s last year to be able to attend Epic Camp. Then he will graduate to the Middle School camp through our church as well.

I love that every year he has been able to attend camp. He loves it. They both do. Hubby goes and works the camp. He provides the water to all campers and counselors as needed to keep them hydrated and does supply runs for them as well. He also does anything else they need him to do. This year that included dressing up as a Pokemon and hiding from the campers.

Preston leaving for camp. They had to take a sack lunch, so I grabbed him McDonalds which is rare.

Preston with his group!

So glad someone was able to capture Hubby and Preston together! Preston took a cooking class at camp this year. Next year, he plans to take an acting class there.

Preston in all green and more friends. What is funny is the boy wearing he watch is actually a friend of his from Kindergarten! They were in Kindergarten together and get to see each other each year at camp!

One of his favorite things to do is the water slide.

Ok, on this one he is on the tube in between all the legs. They were playing some sort of Hungry Hungry Hippo game. I love the pure joy on his face!

I am so thankful for a church that takes our kids to camp. He loves it every year he goes!

Now, onto planning more for the actual school year!

Summer Camp

Today, my husband and my son left for camp. For 5 days. This will be the first time that P has gone to camp for 5 days.

The past two years he has gone to camp, but it has been a Friday afternoon- Sunday afternoon.

This time is will be a Friday afternoon-Tuesday afternoon.

5 days.

Without my husband or my son.

This is also the first year that my son has left his lovie G at home. He has had his lovie since he was born and has only slept without it one night. Tonight will begin 4 nights without his G.

P is very worried about this and to calm him down I am taking G on all kinds of adventures and taking photos to show P that G is missing him, but still having fun!

First stop was getting us some cupcakes from Smallcakes. Our favorite cupcake place in town! I got a lemon drop, Pooh got a wedding cake flavor, and G got chocolate with no frosting ( That is P’s favorite kind too!) I will be posting on my Instagram account: (Wood_Home_Adventures) our adventures while the boys are away! Please feel free to follow!
